How to build a giant Lapis Ore in Minecraft

The Lapis Ore block, 16 times bigger: every pixel of its real texture becomes one block. Plan it, gather the exact blocks and build it layer by layer.

Blocks you need

For the hollow build at real size, with 1-block walls. In the builder you can pick other block groups, a different size (½× up to 16×) or a solid build, and the list changes with it.

BlockCount
Stone290 (4 stacks + 34)
Cyan Terracotta224 (3 stacks + 32)
Light Gray Concrete176 (2 stacks + 48)
Andesite174 (2 stacks + 46)
Lapis Block162 (2 stacks + 34)
Smooth Stone128 (2 stacks)
Light Blue Concrete102 (1 stack + 38)
Blue Concrete54
Blue Ice42

How to build it

  1. Plan: choose the blocks you have, the size, hollow or solid, and the build direction.
  2. Gather: get the exact block list in stacks and shulker boxes, or download it as a Litematica schematic.
  3. Build: place one layer at a time, with a 3D view and a 2D map of each layer that counts the blocks in every row.
