How to build a giant Iron Ore in Minecraft

The Iron Ore block, 16 times bigger: every pixel of its real texture becomes one block. Plan it, gather the exact blocks and build it layer by layer.

Blocks you need

For the hollow build at real size, with 1-block walls. In the builder you can pick other block groups, a different size (½× up to 16×) or a solid build, and the list changes with it.

BlockCount
Stone352 (5 stacks + 32)
Andesite284 (4 stacks + 28)
Light Gray Concrete218 (3 stacks + 26)
Cyan Terracotta120 (1 stack + 56)
Waxed Exposed Copper120 (1 stack + 56)
Brown Mushroom Block114 (1 stack + 50)
White Terracotta96 (1 stack + 32)
Stripped Spruce Wood48

How to build it

  1. Plan: choose the blocks you have, the size, hollow or solid, and the build direction.
  2. Gather: get the exact block list in stacks and shulker boxes, or download it as a Litematica schematic.
  3. Build: place one layer at a time, with a 3D view and a 2D map of each layer that counts the blocks in every row.
