How to build a giant TNT in Minecraft

The TNT block, 16 times bigger: every pixel of its real texture becomes one block. Plan it, gather the exact blocks and build it layer by layer.

Blocks you need

For the hollow build at real size, with 1-block walls. In the builder you can pick other block groups, a different size (½× up to 16×) or a solid build, and the list changes with it.

BlockCount
Stripped Acacia Wood281 (4 stacks + 25)
Red Wool243 (3 stacks + 51)
Red Terracotta227 (3 stacks + 35)
Andesite106 (1 stack + 42)
White Concrete96 (1 stack + 32)
Smooth Quartz94 (1 stack + 30)
White Terracotta68 (1 stack + 4)
Orange Concrete60
Blue Terracotta56
Black Concrete42
Cyan Terracotta33
Obsidian32

…and 1 more kind of block, listed in the builder.

How to build it

  1. Plan: choose the blocks you have, the size, hollow or solid, and the build direction.
  2. Gather: get the exact block list in stacks and shulker boxes, or download it as a Litematica schematic.
  3. Build: place one layer at a time, with a 3D view and a 2D map of each layer that counts the blocks in every row.
