How to build a Glow Squid statue in Minecraft
The Glow Squid from the real game model, turned into blocks: one block for every pixel of its texture. Plan it, gather the exact blocks and build it layer by layer.
- 12 × 33 × 12 blocks (wide × tall × long)
- 1,424 blocks hollow (22 stacks + 16), 2,916 solid
- 33 layers from the bottom up
- 10 kinds of block
Blocks you need
For the hollow build at real size, with 1-block walls. In the builder you can pick other block groups, a different size (½× up to 16×) or a solid build, and the list changes with it.

| Stripped Warped Hyphae | 419 (6 stacks + 35) |
| Warped Wart Block | 114 (1 stack + 50) |
| Verdant Froglight | 109 (1 stack + 45) |
| Prismarine Bricks | 68 (1 stack + 4) |
| Lime Concrete | 32 |
| Cyan Wool | 21 |
| Snow Block | 8 |
| Gray Concrete | 4 |
| Waxed Oxidized Copper | 1 |
How to build it
- Plan: choose the blocks you have, the size, hollow or solid, and the build direction.
- Gather: get the exact block list in stacks and shulker boxes, or download it as a Litematica schematic.
- Build: place one layer at a time, with a 3D view and a 2D map of each layer that counts the blocks in every row.
