How to build a giant Composter in Minecraft
The Composter block, 16 times bigger: every pixel of its real texture becomes one block. Plan it, gather the exact blocks and build it layer by layer.
- 16 × 16 × 16 blocks (wide × tall × long)
- 1,976 blocks hollow (1 shulker box + 3 stacks + 56), 2,080 solid
- 16 layers from the bottom up
- 9 kinds of block
Blocks you need
For the hollow build at real size, with 1-block walls. In the builder you can pick other block groups, a different size (½× up to 16×) or a solid build, and the list changes with it.
| Block | Count |
|---|---|
| Brown Concrete | 576 (9 stacks) |
| Terracotta | 526 (8 stacks + 14) |
| Brown Wool | 324 (5 stacks + 4) |
| Brown Mushroom Block | 234 (3 stacks + 42) |
| Stripped Dark Oak Wood | 84 (1 stack + 20) |
| Spruce Wood | 80 (1 stack + 16) |
| Black Terracotta | 72 (1 stack + 8) |
| Smooth Red Sandstone | 72 (1 stack + 8) |
| Green Terracotta | 8 |
How to build it
- Plan: choose the blocks you have, the size, hollow or solid, and the build direction.
- Gather: get the exact block list in stacks and shulker boxes, or download it as a Litematica schematic.
- Build: place one layer at a time, with a 3D view and a 2D map of each layer that counts the blocks in every row.
