How to build a giant Lantern in Minecraft
The Lantern block, 16 times bigger: every pixel of its real texture becomes one block. Plan it, gather the exact blocks and build it layer by layer.
- 6 × 9 × 6 blocks (wide × tall × long)
- 184 blocks hollow (2 stacks + 56), 284 solid
- 9 layers from the bottom up
- 8 kinds of block
Blocks you need
For the hollow build at real size, with 1-block walls. In the builder you can pick other block groups, a different size (½× up to 16×) or a solid build, and the list changes with it.
| Block | Count |
|---|---|
| Gray Concrete | 72 (1 stack + 8) |
| Yellow Concrete | 32 |
| Orange Wool | 24 |
| Red Terracotta | 16 |
| Terracotta | 16 |
| Bone Block | 8 |
| End Stone | 8 |
| Smooth Red Sandstone | 8 |
How to build it
- Plan: choose the blocks you have, the size, hollow or solid, and the build direction.
- Gather: get the exact block list in stacks and shulker boxes, or download it as a Litematica schematic.
- Build: place one layer at a time, with a 3D view and a 2D map of each layer that counts the blocks in every row.
