How to build a giant Grindstone in Minecraft
The Grindstone block, 16 times bigger: every pixel of its real texture becomes one block. Plan it, gather the exact blocks and build it layer by layer.
- 12 × 16 × 12 blocks (wide × tall × long)
- 668 blocks hollow (10 stacks + 28), 1,408 solid
- 16 layers from the bottom up
- 12 kinds of block
Blocks you need
For the hollow build at real size, with 1-block walls. In the builder you can pick other block groups, a different size (½× up to 16×) or a solid build, and the list changes with it.
| Block | Count |
|---|---|
| Andesite | 142 (2 stacks + 14) |
| Light Gray Concrete | 98 (1 stack + 34) |
| Stone | 96 (1 stack + 32) |
| Smooth Stone | 84 (1 stack + 20) |
| Brown Concrete | 68 (1 stack + 4) |
| Dark Oak Wood | 58 |
| Spruce Wood | 30 |
| White Concrete | 28 |
| Stripped Dark Oak Wood | 20 |
| Black Terracotta | 18 |
| Cyan Terracotta | 16 |
| Mangrove Wood | 10 |
How to build it
- Plan: choose the blocks you have, the size, hollow or solid, and the build direction.
- Gather: get the exact block list in stacks and shulker boxes, or download it as a Litematica schematic.
- Build: place one layer at a time, with a 3D view and a 2D map of each layer that counts the blocks in every row.
