How to build a giant Cake in Minecraft
The Cake block, 16 times bigger: every pixel of its real texture becomes one block. Plan it, gather the exact blocks and build it layer by layer.
- 14 × 8 × 14 blocks (wide × tall × long)
- 704 blocks hollow (11 stacks), 1,568 solid
- 8 layers from the bottom up
- 10 kinds of block
Blocks you need
For the hollow build at real size, with 1-block walls. In the builder you can pick other block groups, a different size (½× up to 16×) or a solid build, and the list changes with it.
| Block | Count |
|---|---|
| Red Terracotta | 218 (3 stacks + 26) |
| Snow Block | 183 (2 stacks + 55) |
| Bone Block | 116 (1 stack + 52) |
| Orange Concrete | 60 |
| Orange Terracotta | 48 |
| Smooth Red Sandstone | 44 |
| Red Mushroom Block | 16 |
| Brown Concrete | 10 |
| Red Concrete | 5 |
| Smooth Sandstone | 4 |
How to build it
- Plan: choose the blocks you have, the size, hollow or solid, and the build direction.
- Gather: get the exact block list in stacks and shulker boxes, or download it as a Litematica schematic.
- Build: place one layer at a time, with a 3D view and a 2D map of each layer that counts the blocks in every row.
