How to build an Iron Golem statue in Minecraft

The Iron Golem from the real game model, turned into blocks: one block for every pixel of its texture. Plan it, gather the exact blocks and build it layer by layer.

Blocks you need

For the hollow build at real size, with 1-block walls. In the builder you can pick other block groups, a different size (½× up to 16×) or a solid build, and the list changes with it.

BlockCount
White Terracotta980 (15 stacks + 20)
Mushroom Stem627 (9 stacks + 51)
White Concrete444 (6 stacks + 60)
Smooth Quartz166 (2 stacks + 38)
Lime Terracotta136 (2 stacks + 8)
Brown Mushroom Block114 (1 stack + 50)
Light Gray Terracotta102 (1 stack + 38)
Lime Concrete93 (1 stack + 29)
Brown Terracotta26
Yellow Wool17
Cracked Nether Bricks6
Light Gray Concrete6

…and 3 more kinds of block, listed in the builder.

How to build it

  1. Plan: choose the blocks you have, the size, hollow or solid, and the build direction.
  2. Gather: get the exact block list in stacks and shulker boxes, or download it as a Litematica schematic.
  3. Build: place one layer at a time, with a 3D view and a 2D map of each layer that counts the blocks in every row.
