How to build a Magma Cube statue in Minecraft
The Magma Cube from the real game model, turned into blocks: one block for every pixel of its texture. Plan it, gather the exact blocks and build it layer by layer.
- 8 × 8 × 8 blocks (wide × tall × long)
- 296 blocks hollow (4 stacks + 40), 512 solid
- 8 layers from the bottom up
- 5 kinds of block
Blocks you need
For the hollow build at real size, with 1-block walls. In the builder you can pick other block groups, a different size (½× up to 16×) or a solid build, and the list changes with it.
| Block | Count |
|---|---|
| Black Terracotta | 183 (2 stacks + 55) |
| Black Concrete | 105 (1 stack + 41) |
| Nether Wart Block | 4 |
| Lime Terracotta | 2 |
| Stripped Spruce Wood | 2 |
How to build it
- Plan: choose the blocks you have, the size, hollow or solid, and the build direction.
- Gather: get the exact block list in stacks and shulker boxes, or download it as a Litematica schematic.
- Build: place one layer at a time, with a 3D view and a 2D map of each layer that counts the blocks in every row.
