How to build a Turtle statue in Minecraft
The Turtle from the real game model, turned into blocks: one block for every pixel of its texture. Plan it, gather the exact blocks and build it layer by layer.
- 36 × 10 × 34 blocks (wide × tall × long)
- 1,442 blocks hollow (22 stacks + 34), 3,421 solid
- 10 layers from the bottom up
- 9 kinds of block
Blocks you need
For the hollow build at real size, with 1-block walls. In the builder you can pick other block groups, a different size (½× up to 16×) or a solid build, and the list changes with it.
| Block | Count |
|---|---|
| Lime Concrete | 447 (6 stacks + 63) |
| Green Concrete | 398 (6 stacks + 14) |
| Stripped Oak Wood | 176 (2 stacks + 48) |
| Light Gray Concrete | 111 (1 stack + 47) |
| End Stone | 109 (1 stack + 45) |
| Stripped Birch Wood | 100 (1 stack + 36) |
| Lime Terracotta | 97 (1 stack + 33) |
| Gray Concrete | 2 |
| Snow Block | 2 |
How to build it
- Plan: choose the blocks you have, the size, hollow or solid, and the build direction.
- Gather: get the exact block list in stacks and shulker boxes, or download it as a Litematica schematic.
- Build: place one layer at a time, with a 3D view and a 2D map of each layer that counts the blocks in every row.
