How to build a Squid statue in Minecraft
The Squid from the real game model, turned into blocks: one block for every pixel of its texture. Plan it, gather the exact blocks and build it layer by layer.
- 12 × 33 × 12 blocks (wide × tall × long)
- 1,424 blocks hollow (22 stacks + 16), 2,916 solid
- 33 layers from the bottom up
- 9 kinds of block
Blocks you need
For the hollow build at real size, with 1-block walls. In the builder you can pick other block groups, a different size (½× up to 16×) or a solid build, and the list changes with it.
| Block | Count |
|---|---|
| Gray Concrete | 842 (13 stacks + 10) |
| Cyan Concrete | 334 (5 stacks + 14) |
| Gray Wool | 165 (2 stacks + 37) |
| Red Concrete | 29 |
| Nether Wart Block | 15 |
| Snow Block | 14 |
| Light Blue Concrete | 12 |
| Cyan Terracotta | 11 |
| Black Concrete | 2 |
How to build it
- Plan: choose the blocks you have, the size, hollow or solid, and the build direction.
- Gather: get the exact block list in stacks and shulker boxes, or download it as a Litematica schematic.
- Build: place one layer at a time, with a 3D view and a 2D map of each layer that counts the blocks in every row.
